Application Fee

Age Limit
There is no specific age limit prescribed for UTET 2026. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess the required educational qualification for the respective paper.
UTET-I (Classes 1 to 5)
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with the prescribed marks along with any one of the following qualifications:
- Two-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC)
- Four-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Two-Year Diploma in Special Education recognized by RCI
- Bachelor’s Degree with Two-Year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Any other qualification recognized by NCTE as mentioned in the official notification.
UTET-II (Classes 6 to 8)
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with D.El.Ed./BTC
- Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed.
- Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed. (Special Education)
- Four-Year B.El.Ed.
- B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed.
- Other qualifications recognized by NCTE.
- In-service teachers appointed as per Government norms are also eligible.
Examination Pattern
The Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test consists of two separate papers.
UTET Paper-I
For candidates intending to teach Classes 1 to 5.
UTET Paper-II
For candidates intending to teach Classes 6 to 8.
Each paper consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions as prescribed by UBSE.
