UP DElEd Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for UP DElEd Admission 2026 must fulfill the prescribed educational qualification, age limit, and domicile requirements specified by the Examination Regulatory Authority.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, or any equivalent board. In addition, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a UGC-recognized University.

UP DElEd Selection Process

Admission to UP DElEd Training 2026 is based entirely on merit. No entrance examination will be conducted. The selection process is completed through centralized online counselling conducted by the Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh.

Step 1: Online Registration

Candidates must register online through the official website and submit their personal, category, and academic details carefully. No correction facility will be available after the final submission of the application form.

Step 2: Merit List Preparation

A State Merit List is prepared based on the candidate’s academic performance using the following formula:

Merit Score = Class 10 Percentage + Class 12 Percentage + Graduation Percentage

Based on the total score, candidates are allotted a State Rank for participation in the counselling process.

Step 3: Choice Filling & Counselling

Candidates shortlisted in the merit list must pay the prescribed Counselling Advance Fee (generally ₹5,000) to participate in the choice filling process. Applicants can select and prioritize their preferred Government DIETs and Private DElEd Colleges before locking their choices.
